Platforms

AGRF's Epigenomics and Structural Genomics Service is based on the utilisation of a broad range of state of the art technology platforms. This means that a variety of epigenomic and structural genomic applications can be accommodated.

These applications include:

The AGRF's Epigenomics and Structural Genomics service allows project customisation to the most suitable technology platform(s):

Sequenom

The AGRF uses the Sequenom EpiTYPER system for high throughput quantitative methylation analysis.  The EpiTYPER system combines Bisulfite treatment, PCR and a proprietary mass cleave reaction with MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry analysis to identify CpG site methylation.   Sequenom EpiTYPER software is used for cleavage pattern analysis.

Using the Sequenom EpiTYPER system, the AGRF provides the following Epigenomics and Structural Genomics services:

The  Sequenom MassARRAY® System is also used at the AGRF for the following services:

illumina

illumina has developed a set of integrated system solutions to enable SNP genotyping and gene expression profiling. The Infinium whole-genome genotyping iScan solution offers single or multi-sample BeadChip formats and high-density design with the flexibility to add additional custom SNP assays. A key feature of the Infinium Assay protocols is the single-tube sample preparation without PCR or ligation. High call rates and accuracy are achieved via an enzymatic discrimination step. The BeadArray system is used at AGRF in conjunction with the BeadStudio data analysis software for a variety of high throughput genotyping applications.

Using the illumina iScan System, the AGRF provides the following Epigenomics and Structural Genomics services:

Using the illumina iScan System, the AGRF provides other services including:

Qiagen

The PyroMark Q24 utilises a light based technology that interrogates base sequences quantitatively. Sequencing via the PyroMark Q24 allows a customised and focused analysis on small regions of ~50-100bp sites from known targets or for array validations.

Using the Qiagen PyroMark Q24, the AGRF provides the following Epigenomics and Structural Genomics services:

Using the Qiagen PyroMark Q24, the AGRF provides other services including:

Roche GS FLX

The Genome Sequencer FLX System (GS FLX) provides the power to address a broad range of applications in diverse research fields. The GS FLX service is a versatile solution for the study of Epigenomics and Structural Genomics as the system is based on the unique combination of read length, throughput, and read accuracy.

Using the Roche GS FLX, the AGRF provides a Methylation Analysis Service.

The Roche GS FLX is also used at AGRF for the following Sequencing Services:

AB 3730

Using the 48-capillary 3730 DNA Analyzer, AGRF offers the following Epigenomics and Structural Genomics service:

The AB3730 DNA Analyzer is also used at AGRF for the following services:

The AGRF also utilizes the AB 3730xl which is a  96 capillary instrument.  This platform is used for other services including:
