Array Fabrication
The AGRF offers an array fabrication service for bacterial libraries. This service can deliver arrays on nylon membranes or microarrays on glass slides. The advantage of this service is that any number of recombinant bacterial libraries – cDNA and BAC – can be arrayed regardless of annotation. This enables the researcher to screen in-house constructed libraries and provides a competitive but focussed edge in accomplishing research outcomes. Any bacterial library can be arrayed onto nylon membranes, however glass slide microarrays are limited to cDNA constructs.
The format required for array fabrication is bacterial cultures in 384 well plates. The AGRF has capacity to receive bacterial cultures and isolate individual colonies that are placed into wells. In most cases the libraries are submitted as plates to be arrayed. Contact us
