AGRF Ltd is excited to introduce First Impression: an AGS Epigenomics Grant, offering $5,000 AUD towards your research project.

 

Grant Offer:

The grant provides an opportunity to explore the epigenome using:

  • Hi-C: investigate 3D genome organisation, including chromatin loops and compartments.

  • CUT&RUN / CUT&Tag: explore chromatin regulation from as few as 50,000 cells, including fresh or cryopreserved samples.

  • ATAC-seq: investigate chromatin accessibility across mammalian, plant and non-model species, without requiring a species-specific antibody.

Choose one platform, combine two, or explore all three. The scope is up to you.

How to Apply:

  2. Provide a PROJECT SUMMARY | 250–400 WORDS
    What biological question are you investigating?

    Which platform(s) are you proposing?

    Why are these approaches suited to your project?

    What outcome do you expect?

  3. APPLICANT / LAB BIO

TERMS and CONDITIONS

  1. Applicants must be a resident of Australia or New Zealand.

  2. Applicants must be over 18 years of age at the time of entry.

  3. Applicants must be employed by a university, medical research institute, publicly or government funded research institute or hospital.

  4. Applicants must be registered on AGRF’s client portal https://www.agrf.org.au/my-agrf-hub

  5. The successful applicant must be able to share their results with AGRF for publication on our websites and in marketing material.

  6. The successful applicant agrees to have their name and the purpose of the grant made public.

  7. The successful applicant’s samples must be submitted to AGRF before 30 November 2026.

  8. Applicants must complete the application form in full.

  9. Costs associated with delivering the samples to AGRF are the responsibility of the applicant, as are any requirements to return the samples to the applicant.

  10. Applications close on 9 October 2026 at 5pm (AEDT). Late submissions will not be considered.

  11. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of 3 AGRF representatives.

  12. Awarding of the Grant will be advised by no later than 02 November 2026.

  13. AGRF’s General Terms & Conditions will apply in relation to the services provided to the successful applicant in relation to the grant.
