The Illumina Infinium Global Diversity Array (GDA) is designed to maximise coverage across diverse global populations, providing high-quality, cost-effective genotyping for research and translational studies. With more than 1.8 million markers, the GDA offers powerful resolution for genome-wide association studies (GWAS), pharmacogenomics, and population-scale genetics. 

To extend its utility even further, AGRF offers a suite of booster content options that can be added to the GDA. These boosters allow researchers to tailor the array to their study by including markers of specific interest—whether for disease association, pharmacogenomics, or population-specific applications. 

Available Boosters for GDA 

AGRF provides boosters for the GDA, with options covering: 

Carrier Screening Booster – adds ~45K markers across 600+ clinically significant genes for expanded carrier screening. 

Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) Booster – adds ~160K markers to enable risk prediction for common diseases (e.g., diabetes, cancer, coronary artery disease, Alzheimer’s). 

Cytogenetics Booster – adds ~160K probes covering >4,800 clinically relevant genes, optimized for CNV detection. 

Enhanced Pharmacogenomics (PGx) Booster – enriched coverage for complex pharmacogenomic variants.
